Can you believe it? Summer is coming to an end and children are going back to school. Farmers are doing their harvest. Grandpa George and Uncle Eric are trying to get stuff done. Going good so far.
Did we have a summer? It went so fast. Our summer was filled with parades and family reunions. Kim's Uncle Lloyd and his wife Carol from AZ and cousin Jim from WA were here for a family reunion in July in Drayton ND. It was so nice that they were able to come and see us. Had a great time.
Now we are getting our flower beds and vegetable garden ready for the fall. We have lots of tomatoes, peppers, onions and rhubarb to harvest. Our cucumbers and peas are done for but not before we enjoyed many eatings.
It was the first day of School for our niece Taylor. She began kindergarten at Thompson on Thursday August 24th. I called her that night and asked her how her first day was and she said "it was AMAZING". Her sister Mackenzie is in the 4th grade already. She was so excited to go back and to see her friends.
Courtney won't be going to kindergarten until next fall as she just turned 5. She will go to CCD (religion) on Wed nights starting in September and Kim will be teaching confirmation (third grade this year).
Todd's great friend Tom is getting married in October in Fargo. We are looking forward that. Todd is an usher. Courtney is excited that she and Sami will be getting new dresses. She wants one that goes way down on the floor just like the princesses do.
Hope all is good with you and your family. When you have time add a comment. We would love to hear from you.

I agree that the summer went by in a blur; we did have a pause for Riverfest and the Family Reunion. I'm glad so many came, but that said, think of all the ones who didn't. Also who is going to take charge of the next one--will there be a next one? Stryldy
